As a self-taught artist, I have always been driven by my endless desire to create original, one-of-a-kind pieces that possess a unique quality that can't be replicated. In this blog post, I want to share my journey as a quixotic artist, drawing inspiration from my travels and creating pieces that capture fleeting but deeply affective moments.

Growing up in the "Decade of Decadence," I was exposed to many dangerous friendships and destructive relationships. However, my passion for art kept me afloat during these tumultuous times. My idealism knows no bounds, and I strive to create pieces that inspire and evoke emotions within those who view my paintings. Each canvas I paint is a representation of my whimsical imagination, pieced together with the intended message of instilling hope and faith in the hearts of those who view them.

My travel experiences have also played a pivotal role in shaping my art. I split my time between Dallas, Texas, and Zihuatanejo, Mexico when I am not traveling with my husband Aharon. The vibrant colours and diverse cultures of these cities inspire me, and their influence can be seen in my art. I interpret everyday scenes into something abstract yet meaningful in my paintings, capturing fleeting moments that leave a profound impact on me, allowing me to transpose those feelings onto canvas.

As a quixotic artist, I don't limit myself to conventional techniques or subject matters. Rather, I embrace the unpredictability of the creative process and create pieces that have an otherworldly quality to them. My paintings explore themes of love, spirituality, and community, among others. They challenge the viewer to look beyond the physical reality and delve into the deeper meaning behind them. My pieces are both nostalgic and futuristic, offering a glimpse into the uncharted territories of the human experience.
